Description
An RO DI water system first removes around 95–99% of dissolved salts with reverse osmosis, then polishes the water through mixed-bed deionization resin to bring conductivity close to zero. The result is high-purity water for laboratories, cosmetics, batteries, car detailing and other uses where RO water alone is not pure enough.
Running a DI resin bed on raw Omani water exhausts it in days. Putting RO in front means the resin only polishes what the membrane leaves, so an RO DI water system gives far lower running cost than DI alone.

Maintenance and replacement
Change pre-filters every 3–6 months, replace or regenerate DI resin when conductivity rises, and replace the RO membrane every 2–3 years.
