Description
Sintered filter element Oman buyers choose these Guanle stainless steel elements when they need fine filtration that can be cleaned and reused. A sintered element is made from layers of stainless steel wire mesh pressed and heated until the wires bond together. The finished element is stiff, holds a stable pore size and does not shed fibres into the water.
The range is manufactured by Hebei Guanle Metal Wire Mesh Products Co., Ltd. (Guanle Filtering Technology), founded in 2010 in Anping County, Hebei, a town known as the home of China’s wire mesh industry. Guanle designs, produces and customises stainless steel wire mesh, precision filter screens and filter elements. The factory has more than 100 employees and over 50 automated machines, including laser cutting, precision welding and edge-wrapping stamping equipment. The company holds ISO 9001, TUV and FDA certifications and supplies the chemical, petroleum, water treatment, food, pharmaceutical and dust-control industries.
How It Works
The sintered mesh is formed into a cylinder and welded to end caps or threaded connectors. Water passes through the porous wall and solids are trapped on the surface. Because the layers are fused, the pores do not stretch under pressure the way a single woven mesh can. When the element loads up, it can be backwashed, ultrasonically cleaned or soaked in a suitable cleaning solution and refitted.
Key Features of This Sintered Filter Element Range
- Multi-layer stainless steel mesh fused into one rigid wall
- Stable pore size under pressure and temperature changes
- Washable and reusable, unlike disposable cartridges
- Threaded, flanged, sanitary clamp or plain-end connections
- Pleated versions for more surface area in the same housing
- Custom diameter, length and filtration rating
Materials and Mesh Options
Guanle builds every element to order. The table below lists the mesh materials and mesh-count ranges published in the Guanle catalogue. Final size, connection and rating are confirmed against your drawing or the old element.
| Material | Available mesh range |
|---|---|
| Stainless steel 201 / 304 / 316 | 2 – 3200 mesh |
| Duplex stainless SS 2205 / 2507 | 10 – 1800 mesh |
| Monel | 10 – 1400 mesh |
| Hastelloy | 4 – 400 mesh |
| Titanium TA1 / TA2 | 10 – 600 mesh |
| Brass / copper / phosphor bronze | 2 – 800 mesh |
| Diamond (expanded) mesh | Aperture 0.2 – 6 mm |
Applications in Oman
- Fine pre-filtration ahead of dosing pumps, nozzles and meters
- Filtration of RO product water, DI water and laboratory water lines
- Hot water and steam condensate lines where plastic cartridges fail
- Food, beverage and pharmaceutical process water
- Chemical and fuel transfer lines in industrial plants
- Compressed air and gas line filtration
Choosing the Right Model
Match the filtration rating to the particle you need to remove, and the element size to your housing and flow. For hot or chemical service, confirm temperature and chemical compatibility first; 316 stainless steel covers most water duties in Oman. If you are replacing a branded element, the part number or a photo with dimensions is enough for us to source a match. Background on the sintering process is on Wikipedia.
Why Water Treatment Matters in Oman
Most water used in Oman comes from desalination plants, tankers or wells. Well and tanker water often carries sand, silt and scale, and desalinated water picks up rust and debris in long pipelines and storage tanks. Every pump, valve, membrane and heat exchanger downstream is exposed to that dirt. A correctly sized metal screen at the right point is one of the cheapest ways to protect the rest of the system and cut breakdown calls.
Installation and Maintenance
Install the element in a housing rated for the line pressure and check O-rings on every change. Record the pressure drop when new; clean the element when it rises to the limit set for your system. Do not use wire brushes on the filter surface. Keep a spare element on site so one can be cleaned while the other is in service.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can a sintered element replace a disposable cartridge?
In many housings it can, if the size and connection match. It costs more at first but is reused many times. Call or WhatsApp +968 9763 7786 for pricing.
How do I clean a sintered filter element?
Backwash or rinse with clean water, and use ultrasonic cleaning or a suitable chemical soak for stubborn dirt. Call or WhatsApp +968 9763 7786 for pricing.
Can you match an imported element part number?
Usually yes. Send the part number, dimensions and a photo and we will confirm a match. Call or WhatsApp +968 9763 7786 for pricing.
