Description
Caustic Soda Flakes Oman — UV Water Systems supplies industrial grade sodium hydroxide (NaOH) flakes, 99% purity, in 25 kg bags, with delivery across Muscat, Sohar, Nizwa, Salalah and the rest of the Sultanate. Caustic soda flakes are used for pH correction, CIP cleaning, RO membrane cleaning, effluent neutralisation and a wide range of manufacturing processes.
What Are Caustic Soda Flakes?
Caustic Soda Flakes Oman buyers receive are the solid, flaked form of sodium hydroxide, a strong alkali with the chemical formula NaOH. The flakes are white, odourless and highly hygroscopic, dissolving quickly in water to produce a strongly alkaline solution. Because the flake form dissolves faster and stores more easily than pearls or bulk lye solution, it is the format most plants keep on site. Caustic Soda Flakes Oman stock is held in Muscat for same-week despatch.

Why Buy Caustic Soda Flakes Oman from UV Water Systems
We supply Caustic Soda Flakes Oman wide and have supplied water treatment chemicals to hospitals, oil companies, hotels and manufacturing plants in Oman for over 14 years. Every batch arrives with a certificate of analysis and the manufacturer material safety data sheet. Stock is held in Muscat, so standard orders leave the same or next working day, and contract customers can set up a scheduled monthly supply instead of raising a purchase order each time.
Our team also advises on dosing rates. If you are correcting pH on an RO plant, a cooling tower or an effluent line, we will calculate the required NaOH dose from your water analysis and recommend the right dosing pump and tank material rather than leaving you to guess.
Handling, Storage and Safety
Sodium hydroxide is corrosive and causes severe burns to skin and eyes. Handle the flakes with chemical goggles, a face shield, nitrile or rubber gloves and a long sleeved apron. Always add caustic soda to water, never water to caustic soda — dissolution is strongly exothermic and adding water to the solid can cause violent boiling and splashing.
Store bags sealed in a cool, dry, well ventilated area away from acids, aluminium, zinc and organic materials. The flakes absorb moisture and carbon dioxide from the air, so keep opened bags closed to prevent caking and loss of strength. In case of skin or eye contact, flush with plenty of clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Packing and Delivery Across Oman
